Public Who Donate a New or Gently Used Musical Instrument Will Be Automatically Entered To Win Free Tickets To Manilow’s July 12th Concert 

[Chicago, IL—July 4, 2012] – Legendary singer-songwriter Barry Manilow hopes others will once again follow his philanthropic lead as he donates a Yamaha piano to launch a local instrument drive for the Chicago Public Schools. Anyone who donates a new or gently used musical instrument to the Chicago Theater Box Office will receive 2 free tickets (valid for pre selected seat locations) for Manilow’s July 12th, concert in Chicago, IL.

“I’m thrilled to be able to help bring the gift of music to these kids,” states Manilow.

ABC 7’s Windy City LIVE, Chicago’s most watched show in its time period, broadcasted on one of the top television stations in the country, is partnering with the Manilow Music Project to help garner much needed instruments to Chicago area schools.  Windy City LIVE studio will be the home base for the instrument drive, and donations may be dropped off from July 9th through July 12th.   The instrument drop off location address is:

Donations will be accepted between 8 AM to 6 PM Monday through Friday.

The Manilow Music Project (MMP) is part of The Manilow Fund for Health and Hope.  It was formed as a grass roots organization to assist local charities and programs.  Its primary focus is to provide musical instruments to high schools and middle schools and to provide music scholarships at universities throughout the US, Canada, and the UK.
