[San Antonio, TX—May 9, 2013] – Direct from Broadway, following a critically acclaimed sold out run on New York’s Great White Way, Barry Manilow, the undisputed #1 Adult Contemporary Artist of all time, brings his “Manilow In Concert… Direct from Broadway” concert to San Antonio, TX.

As previously announced, this unprecedented concert will be in San Antonio at the AT&T Center on May 18th as Manilow performs songs from his massive catalog of hits.  The pop icon is donating a Yamaha piano to launch a local instrument drive for the San Antonio Independent School District and is now announcing a special collaboration with Yamaha of San Antonio.  The San Antonio Yamaha, dealer known as Alamo Music, will be working along side The Manilow Music Project by assisting with the collecting of instruments to ensure a successful donation drive.  General Manager Zach Marr is spearheading the initiative on behalf Yamaha/Alamo Music.

“We are excited to partner with the Manilow Music Project & Yamaha in the mission of putting more music into people’s lives.  Life is more fun when you play music! We’re hoping to have a big turnout for donations from our local San Antonio Music Lovers!

The Manilow Music Project (MMP) is part of The Manilow Fund for Health and Hope.  It was formed as a grass roots organization to assist local charities and programs.  Its primary focus is to provide musical instruments to high schools and middle schools and to provide music scholarships at universities throughout the US, Canada, and the UK.
