Public Can Trade a New or Gently Used Musical Instrument For Free Tickets to Manilow’s July 12th Concert

The pop icon is also donating a Yamaha piano to launch a local instrument drive for Salt Lake County public schools in collaboration with Granite School District.  Anyone who donates a new or gently used musical instrument to the Maverik Center will receive 2 free tickets (valid for pre-selected seat locations) for Manilow’s July 11th concert at Red Rocks.

“I’m thrilled to be able to help bring the gift of music to these kids,” states Manilow.

Rockley Music Company at 8555 W. Colfax Ave. in Lakewood, Colorado will be the base for the instrument drive in Denver, from now through July 11th. The instrument drop off location is open between 10:00 AM –6:00 PM Monday through Saturday.

 “Jeffco is proud to partner with the Manilow Music Project to bring the sounds of music to our schools,” said Jefferson County Public Schools Superintendent Cindy Stevenson. “Music allows our students to express themselves through creativity and artistic expression, opening up a world of possibilities to them. In Jeffco, we want students to excel in the arts, as well as academics. For those students and families who can’t afford instrument rental fees, a small donation can make a big impact to a child.”

The Manilow Music Project (MMP) is part of The Manilow Fund for Health and Hope.  It was formed as a grass roots organization to assist local charities and programs.  Its primary focus is to provide musical instruments to high schools and middle schools and to provide music scholarships at universities throughout the US, Canada, and the UK.
