BARRY MANILOW DONATES NEW YAMAHA PIANO TO KICK Off NEW MUSIC INSTRUMENT DRIVE FOR CRAWFORD HIGH SCHOOL

Public Can Donate a New or Gently Used Musical Instrument for Free Tickets to Manilow’s December 13 Holiday Concert at the Viejas Arena

[San Diego, CA —November 16, 2018] – Pop music icon Barry Manilow hopes others will follow his philanthropic lead as he brings his Manilow Music Project to Crawford High School. The legendary singer/songwriter plans to donate a Yamaha piano to launch a local music instrument drive. Anyone who donates a new or gently used musical instrument will receive 2 (two) free tickets (valid for pre-selected seat locations on a first come, first serve basis) for Manilow’s December 13th Holiday concert at the Viejas Arena in San Diego, CA.

The Manilow Music Project has conducted music instrument drives all over the country to assist local schools with their music programs.

“I’m thrilled to bring the gift of music to these kids,” added Manilow.

The designated instrument drop will be the Viejas Arena Box Office. Thursday, December 13 from 6pm to 8pm

“The students at Crawford High School are grateful for The Manilow Music Project and the work they are doing to support music education across the country, said J.P. Riley, Music Teacher. Almost all our High School families cannot afford to rent or purchase their own instruments, so without projects like this, our students would not be able to participate in and benefit from the music education they deserve.  Thank you for your support and we look forward to making the most of these resources generously provided by this project.”

The Manilow Music Project (MMP) is part of The Manilow Fund for Health and Hope. It was formed as a grass roots organization to assist local charities and programs. Its primary focus is to provide musical instruments to high schools and middle schools and to provide music scholarships at universities throughout the US, Canada, and the UK. More information on the Manilow Music Project can be found at http://www.manilowmusicproject.org/.

Tickets are available online at Manilow.com or as.sdsu.edu/viejas_arena/ in person at the Viejas Arena Box Office or by phone at 619-594-0429.
